My main objection to “Paper or Plastic?” (August 2011) is the quote from Luther about the apple tree used to support the author’s opinion. I believe Luther was saying that he was living the life that God would have him lead to the best of his ability, and if the “world would end tomorrow,” he would continue to live that same life [looking forward to his passing to heaven] and would not have to do something special to ingratiate himself to his Lord and Savior. I have always quoted this as a guide for all Christians, which I believe this was meant to be.
