Lutheran Witness: October 2012

Within these pages, you will find the Church’s historic answers to its timeless questions. From matters of doctrine to matters of practice, from closed Communion and the ordination of women to suicide and premarital sex, from gun violence and cohabitation to pornography and church attendance, the Church simply repeats what Christ has already said,
speaking truth and clarity, promise and pardon.

The topics are not always easy. The answers are not always popular. The discussions may be uncomfortable at best. But the gray is no longer gray, and the devil’s voice has been silenced. “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” (John 6:68).
