I was pleased to see the name of the late Dr. Leland Stevens appear several times in the story about The Lutheran Wit-ness (September 2011). However, I was disappointed that no mention was made regarding his excellent A History of The Missouri Synod as Told by The Lutheran Witness. In addition to the history of the Synod, this well-written book offers an interesting look into the history of its official publication.
